Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb Showcased at Nordic Event

Two of Scotland’s most iconic foods – Scotch Beef PGI and Scotch Lamb PGI – are set to be high profile in Sweden next week at GastroNord, one of the major trade shows for the food and beverage industry in northern Europe.

Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) will be represented the event (26 April – 29 April 2016), which attracts over 22,000 visitors including food and drink importers, retailers, foodservice representatives and top European chefs.

During the event, QMS will be driving home the message about the natural production methods, high welfare and the whole life quality assurance which underpins the brands.

According to Laurent Vernet, QMS Head of Marketing, the event offers a valuable opportunity to further develop trade for Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb in Sweden.

“Over the last couple of years, the Scottish red meat industry has improved its trading presence in Sweden, especially with wholesalers and retailers.

“There are, however, still opportunities to be seized in the Swedish market which is a stable, sustainable market for premium products such as Scotch Beef PGI and Scotch Lamb PGI.”
