Absolute Classics presents a musical offering like no other and this August, their summer Festival will be no different. A true celebration of classical music is set to wow audiences with six concerts from the 11th-14th August at Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries
Opening the Festival is the talented cast and orchestra of Opera Bohemia, Scotland’s professional touring company, who will be performing Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro (Sponsored by BDS).
On Friday the 12 th , celebrated pianist, Eduard Kunz will perform works by Beethoven, Listz & Karmanov. Eduard was named among 10 of tomorrow’s great pianists by BBC music magazine having performed and broadcast with the world’s major orchestras.
The Fournier Trio will form the centre of the Festival with its members giving three recitals in different guises. Each performance will feature one of Brahms’ major works of chamber music. Described by Classical Source as having “awesome but restrained technical ability and chamber-music antennae”, the internationally award-winning ensemble has rapidly established itself as one of the leading piano trios of today.
The grand finale on Sunday 14 th , will be given by pianist, Sasha Grynyuk. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Sasha Grynyuk is the winner of over ten international competitions, prizes and awards and was chosen as a ‘Rising Star’ for BBC Music Magazine and International Piano Magazine.
