Eddie Halliwell, Felix Leiter, Plump DJs, Sonny Wharton and Justin Robertson headline Bass Camp bill
Dance and trance legend Eddie Halliwell, breakbeat duo Plump DJs, house and techno icon Sonny Wharton, digital star Felix Leiter and internationally acclaimed Justin Robertson will top the bill at the Wickerman Festival’s Bass Camp dance village this year. Featuring the renowned Skiddle tent and The Terrace (formerly known as the Vinyl Frontier), dance fans can party until 5am each morning to an electrifying mix of progressive house, techno, electro and rave.
The Skiddle Tent is set to get the crowd jumping on Friday with a mind blowing performance from superstar DJ Eddie Halliwell. A legend of the international club scene and resident DJ at Cream Ibiza, Eddie was named Mixmag’s DJ of the Year, has recorded eight Radio 1 essential mixes and broadcast to over 13 million listeners worldwide via his syndicated radio show ‘Fire It Up’. Known for his infectious energy and highly visual performances, Wicker Fans can expect some jaw dropping turntable trickery.
On the Saturday, industry heavyweight Plump DJs will top the bill. Comprised of internationally renowned DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, the Londoners have received worldwide acclaim and collaborated with legendary vocalists, including Gary Numan, Jermaine Jackson and Louise Rhodes of Lamb. Their ever evolving sound continues to be a favourite amongst dance enthusiasts worldwide. The tent will also welcome names such as the iconic Justin Robertson, one of the creators of the electronic music scene. His 23 year career has placed him at the forefront of innovative, forward thinking music and he remains one of the most exciting DJ/Producers around.
Block Party extraordinaire Kid Blast and Cumbria’s tech house DJ Luke Stanger are also set to get Wicker fans jumping alongside James Ryan & Stanger Audio who will enhance Friday’s bill. House DJ Matt Hinde, Lancashire’s Matt Thiss and Preston’s team of DJs Beats of Rage have also been announced as line-up additions.
Dance enthusiasts can also enjoy hip shakin, body poppin, soul swinging outdoor vibes at The Terrace, whilst the popular Headphone Disco will keep people raving quietly on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in the Headphone Arena, nestled alongside Bass Camp.
