The countdown is on! Eden Festival is opening its gates this Thursday welcoming festival goers from across the UK and beyond. Set in the stunning Raehills Meadows of Dumfries and Galloway this family friendly event has really catered for all. Hosting 12 stages with 300 performers, you can also catch some theatre, comedy, art and more.
A long established favourite on the Scottish festival calendar, the 10 year anniversary promises to be a highlight of the summer with a celebration worthy of its national acclaim.
We caught up with Adam Curtis, Eden Festival Founder, for his top ten tips for you to get the most out of your Eden experience.
1. Grab some popcorn, climb into your vehicle of choice and watch a film in our Vintage Drive in Cinema.
2. Open Mic Thursday Night, head up to Melodrome with your music skills on your back and set the woodlands alive with the sound of music.
3. Fire Show, Saturday night at midnight at Sonic Henge Arena.
4. Mr MMMMMMMotivator in all his Lycra glory never fails to get pulses racing with his uplifting workout on Saturday afternoon at 12.30.
5. Paint Fight, we’ll all be getting messy at the Devorgilla Stage, Saturday 1.45pm.
6. Groove Armada, well now it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t mention Super Stylin it together at the main stage, Saturday night, 12.30.
7. Not forgetting the kids’ procession, where they dress up and wave their hand made creations, which they produced in the free weekend workshops. Keep you eye’s peeled for the ankle biting army.
8. Pizza and Prosecco in the Woodland area.
9. Archery, come on cupid, let your arrow flow. Targets set in the Games Arena from 10am – 6pm, Saturday.
10. My biggest tip, just keep your eyes peeled and walk around the site having a peak in every space, make new friends and soak up the music and the atmosphere.
