Eden Festival Needs You! – Volunteer Opportunities

Every year Eden Festival recruits around 300 volunteers a year to help with the planning and the execution of the festival. There are a variety of volunteering roles available from stage management, artist liaison, compering, bar staff, ticket office staff, site artists and wardens etc.  Right now they are looking for volunteers to work on their magnificent garden this year.

Founder and Head of Production Adam Curtis “One thing that makes Eden Festival special is that it is not a hire in jobbie – it is hand built each year by local volunteers (and some from further afield), young and old, with a lot of time, sweat and community spirit going in to creating the magnificent Garden every year – this makes for a more intimate and unique festival.”

If you would like to be involved in creating the great Garden then you can email [email protected]

Hosting twelve different stages with 300 performers, Eden Festival really does cater for all.  Eden hosts an eclectic mix of music and stages; whether you want to relax in the hammocks and dip your toe in the water, hang out in auld Celtic drinking dens, get the kids involved in games and crafts sessions, take part in a paint fight or simply dance till the sun comes up whilst meeting amazing like minded individuals, then Eden Festival is for you.

CAT POWER

Critics have noted the constant evolution of Cat Power’s sound, with a mix of punk, folk and blues on her earliest albums, and elements of soul and other genres more prevalent in her later material. Her 2012 album Sun incorporated electronica, in a self-proclaimed move from the “really slow guitar songs” she initially wrote for the album. She has worked alongside the biggest in the music industry collaborating with Dave Grohl, Faithless, Yoko Ono and Beck.

GOGOL BORDELLO

Gogol Bordello is an American Gypsy punk band from the Lower East Side of Manhattan, inspired by Gypsy music mixed with punk and dub and known for spectacular theatrical stage shows.

BONEY M

World renowned disco act Boney M will also be coming to Eden Festival this summer, performing their chart topping hits like Ma Baker, Rasputin and Oh My Lord. They were one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s,  and one of their biggest crowd pleasers Daddy Cool is still the 7th biggest- selling single of all time in Britain.

AGNES OBEL

Denmark’s Agnes Obel is an award winning musician with two platinum selling albums under her belt and about to achieve her third with her recently released album ‘Citizens of Glass’. She is a top five artist in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark, as well as having two singles in the UK album charts. One of the most exciting and current acts that Eden Festival has hosted, she will be bringing her female classically trained band; expect keys, cello’s, drums and clarinets, and Agnes Obel’s stunning vocals.
