Hidden Gem Festival Brings Showcase To Newton Stewart

Keeping with the ethos of the brand new festival held in Dumfries in September 2024, the line up heading to The Vault in Newton Stewart in November, boasts a split of local and national artists, aiming to support local musicians to perform on home turf while showcasing Dumfries and Galloway as a music destination to both artists and audiences across Scotland.

After Palliro’s packed out performance at the Riverside Tap in Dumfries, leaving festival goers watching through the windows, they are back to headline the showcase event on the 15th November.

Emerging from the town of Castle Douglas, Palliro is a breath of fresh air in the music scene. Formed in 2023, this four-piece band brings a soothing and laid-back vibe to the indie genre with a bit of crunch for good measure, creating music that’s as reflective as it is engaging. Palliro’s sound is a blend of chilled indie melodies, smooth rhythms, and introspective lyrics that resonate with listeners on a deep level.

Supporting Palliro is Brontës, bringing a fresh new sound to the UK Music scene, being heavily influenced by 2010’s indie rock nostalgia, the group take inspiration from the likes of Foals, Talking Heads and Mazzy Star. Signed to Last Night From Glasgow in 2021, the band have had a promising 3 years performing sell out shows in their home town including the iconic King Tuts.

The High Priestess saw similar success at this years festival playing to a jumping full house at White Hart and will be performing an exclusive stripped back set at The Vault.
