Knockengorroch’s Winter Warmer returns to Dumfries in February with a brilliant line up
Knockengorroch’s Winter Warmer returns to The Venue, Dumfries, bringing a touch of the Galloway Hills and World Ceilidh magic to Dumfries.
Featuring Knockengorroch Festival residents, international and legendary Reggae sound system stars– Mungos Hi Fi, to take us on a dancehall reggae extravaganza with some industrial strength drum ‘n’ bass thrown in for good measure. Mungos have played festivals and stadiums throughout the world and no mention of the UK and Scottish reggae scene is complete without their name being mentioned.
Rare visitors to Dumfries, don’t miss this chance to see these guys in action.
We welcome back Esperanza, one of Glasgow’s hardest working and popular ska bands, famed for their live shows, bringing a jumping, superskanking party noise to the night. We defy you not to dance!
Galloway’s own The Razorbills will also be performing. Hailing from Gatehouse, they will bring folky, dancey tunes to the Venue, showcasing the talent that is to be found in the region.
Also playing will be Dumfries’ own Easy Skankin’ Crew, so dispel those winter blues and get an early taste of Knockengorroch’s May World Ceilidh.
Knockengorroch will be celebrating 20 years of music festivals this May, bringing visitors from throughout Britain and further afield to a stunning upland glen in the Galloway Hills above Carsphairn village to enjoy some superb acts playing a diverse range of genres, from folk to reggae, and electronica to Afro fusion..
