The world is full of inspirational female musicians and Dumfries and Galloway is no different.
To celebrate this, Maidens of Music Festival is being launched in Dumfries on 6th May culminating in a competition on 27th May to crown “The Maiden of Music 2017”.
This brand new event is also forming part of Scotlands largest rural arts festival the Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival.
Maidens of Music aims to showcase female musicians and songwriters by providing a stage for women of all ages and at all stages of their musical career.
With venues ranging from outdoor courtyards to pubs and coffee shops The Festival encourages all female musicians to take part and provides a friendly stage for their talents whilst, at the same time providing some great entertainment for the audiences who come along.
