Prestfest, Prestwick’s annual live music festival will be returning this year on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of September, and the organisers have just announced a packed line-up of music to suit all tastes and ages.
This will be the music festival’s 9th year with live music throughout the town. The venues that will be hosting live music are, The Eagle Tavern, The Red Lion, The BUF, Scruffy Duffys, Bar Central, The Taj, Caprice, Vic’s, The Golf Inn, Prestwick Cricket Club, Glenburn Miners Club and various retail premises throughout the town. A highlight of this year’ Prestfest is a parade along Main Street lead by Kilmarnock Pipe Band at 1pm on Saturday 4th September. The band will be doing a performance in Boydfield Gardens along with young musicians who will be performing throughout the afternoon.
If you are going to the festival make sure you get one of the official festival t-shirts on sale adults and kids at The Emprorium, 88 Main St., Prestwick. The Prestfest committee are grateful for the support from South Ayrshire Council, Prestwick Business Association and the New Life Church whose help has made this year’s festival possible. The festival will be supporting Cash for Kids and there will be various collection points throughout the town so make sure you support this great cause.
