Between September and the schools closing in March, Dumfries & Galloway sound engineer John Dinning visited 40 primary schools across the region delivering creative music workshops using Soundtrap music software. Every P7 student at schools which feed into Stranraer, Annan, Sanquhar & Wallace Hall Academies as well as Douglas Ewart High School was involved, as were P5s and P6s in the smaller schools. John has asked us to remind everyone that Soundtrap can be accessed at home and all the students’ licenses will be kept active throughout the summer holidays.
Soundtrap is a very popular programme that allows it’s users to create their own music and collaborate with each other. It is hoped that by keeping the access open to all 880 students across the region, it will continue to provide an excellent creative outlet for children and their parents. Just head to Soundtrap.com to login and get creating! If anyone has any questions or is having any difficulty accessing their account, they should contact their class teacher or go directly to John at [email protected]
Have fun, and we look forward to hearing some fantastic creations from all the music producers of the future out there!
