YOUNG CASTLE DOUGLAS MUSICIAN NOMINATED FOR ‘SCOTTISH ALTERNATIVE MUSIC AWARD’

Bella and the Bear, formed by Stuart Ramage from Castle Douglas  and Lauren Gilmour, from Ayr , have been nominated as best newcomer in the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2015.

The duo who formed in 2014, are in their second year studying ‘commercial music’ at the University of the West of Scotland in Ayr need your votes to help them win. Their music has a traditional acoustic sound is restored with rhythmic and percussive guitar playing, blending two-part harmony and an inherent flare for story-telling.

Stuarts Dad ‘Alan Ramage’ who is also a musician and plays bass with the world famous ‘Dangleberries’ told DGWGO Music News ”  Our Stuart has been nominated as best newcomer in the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2015 with his act ‘Bella and the Bear’.
