Aston Martins Take Centre Stage At Stately Home’s Car Show

A FLEET OF Aston Martins are among the star attractions at a classic and performance car show held in the grounds of a historic stately home this weekend.

Netherby Hall at Longtown, near Carlisle, Cumbria, is set to welcome thousands of car fans to the annual show, which features rare and vintage classic cars as well as performance and supercars.

Visitors to the Netherby Hall Car Show on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 will be able to see a range of Aston Martin cars supplied by event sponsors Grange Aston Martin Edinburgh, including an Aston Martin Vantage, an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante, an Aston Martin DB11 V12 and an Aston Martin DBX707, the most powerful luxury SUV in the world.

Abbie Deeb, Events Manager at Netherby Hall, said: “Our annual car show is always an extremely popular event for visitors, with dozens of rare performance and classic cars on show against the fantastic backdrop of Netherby Hall.
“It’s a brilliant atmosphere and an opportunity for people to experience the grounds and gardens of the Hall which are usually closed to visitors apart from special events and to guests staying in our accommodation on-site.”

Netherby Hall is a Grade II* listed mansion on a private estate set in 36 acres of parkland and gardens. It is owned and operated by Gerald and Margo Smith, who have completed a multi-million pound transformation at the property, creating nine luxury self-catering holiday cottages and apartments, as well as conference facilities.

The restoration of the stable courtyard, which included reinstating it a working stable complex, received a commendation in the Historic House Restoration Award 2021.

The car show is one of several events held at Netherby Hall throughout the year including a Spring Fair, Christmas Fair and a series of classical music concerts.
