Babies will be encouraged to make lots of noise at Wigtown’s children’s bookshop next week.
Foggie Toddle Books will be welcoming early music practitioner, Gaynor Barradell, to the North Main Street shop on Tuesday and Thursday for her wonderful Baby Music sessions.
Glasgow based Gaynor has been leading classes for more than ten years. She said: “Babies ears naturally engage with acoustic instruments, and they really love the sound of the fiddle, so using a mixture of folk tunes, songs and original pieces written especially for the group we have a smashing time. Lots of fun and laughter for everyone!”
Gaynor will provide all the instruments for the babies and toddlers to play, including clarsach, ukelele and fiddle, for the wee ones to create and enjoy original music.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th August from 10.30am. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and there is a charge of £5 per child, though a sibling can come along for free. As space is limited, please register your interest by emailing [email protected]
