The Happiness Collectors need help in spreading joy to families across Scotland this Easter school holidays!
The world’s supplies of happiness are running low and help is needed to top them up! By popping on some headphones and being guided by their very own Happiness Collector Instructor, SAM, aka Special Agent M, children will learn how to become fully certified Happiness Collectors. And most important of all, how to pass this happiness on!
Presented by The Audio Story Company, Happiness Collectors is a fusion of physical theatre and audio-immersive storytelling for family audiences. They are transported by sound and music to destinations around the world and invited to complete a series of fun, physical tasks to collect some much-needed happiness.
Founded in lockdown in 2020, The Audio Story Company is led by actor and arts facilitator Sarah Miele and Sound Designer and Composer Calum Paterson. Wanting to provide their nieces with an activity at home that didn’t involve looking at a screen, they created their first audio story. Since then, they have quickly built a reputation for producing high-quality, exciting and unique family friendly experiences through collaborations with The Tron Theatre, The Ayr Gaiety, FTH Theatre, Hopscotch Theatre Company & PACE Youth Theatre.
Writer and Director Sarah Miele said: “I’m really delighted to be bringing Happiness Collectors to families across Scotland this Easter. After two years of turbulence, it’s more important than ever to bring people together, to spread a little bit of joy and to have some fun. Sharing this unique experience as a family will put a smile on everyone’s face!
A fun and memorable easter activity at the CatStrand on Saturday April 8th shows are at 11:00 & 12:30. Tickets and info from www.gcat.scot/arts 01644 420 374
