Irish Country Stars Dominic Kirwan and Mary Duff ended their year long tour together on Friday the 27th of November 2015 with a sell out gig at The Cairndale Hotel & Leisure Club Dumfries.
RB was very kindly invited along to see them perform. Although not RB’s usual choice in music; it was a fantastic gig in a wonderful warm and welcoming venue.
RB Said ” I was totally blown away with the warm atmosphere of the gig both from Dominic and Mary and the crowd, it was a really special night and the wonderful array of songs had everybody’s feet tapping and hands waving, and in the end people couldn’t sit down any longer, and the crowd was up dancing in the isles.
Both Dominic and Mary had aa lovely approachable manner, and really made the evening feel relaxed and happy with their great Irish banter and jokes in-between songs. The function room at the Cairndale was perfect, it was comfortable, the sound was great, Bar service was top notch, and everybody was smiling. A real 5 star night of entertainment right here in Dumfries and Galloway.
As somebody that has never seen this type of music gig live before I would say , if you ever get the chance to see some Irish Country music live, but you think its not for you, get yourself along and give it a chance , you may surprise yourself!”
