Dumfries Provost ready for Easter Eggstravaganza

Provost of Dumfries Ted Thompson joined the Easter Bunny on Friday 11 March to promote this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza event.

Held on Sunday 27 March (Easter Sunday) and organised by Dumfries and Galloway Council, the fun day promises to be as action packed as previous years. There’s fairground rides, a bouncy castle, games and of course…the big Easter Egg hunt! The Easter Bunny will also be present on the day to lend a hand with the hunt and for photos with egg-hunting children.

The event runs from 11am to 3pm, at Castledykes Park, Dumfries and is Free.

Provost Ted Thompson said ahead of the event;

“The Easter Eggstravaganza is a very popular event and a great day out for all the family. The event is always well attended with the children leaving with smiles on their faces. They’ll be plenty of eggs hidden around Castledykes Park on the day, and plenty of other activities for children of all ages. Our Council is committed to continuing to hold events such as the Easter Eggstravaganza which brings communities together and utilises the wonderful parks and open spaces we have in our region.”
