Team DGWGO were kindly invited along to the 2015 Emergency 999 Highland Games at Park Farm in Dumfries ( August the 15th 2015)
45 hardy competitors took place in the games. Large crowds came along to the free event to support the Emergency service teams as they took part in challenges such as caber tossing, tractor towing, tyre flipping, haggis and spoon racing, welly wanging and much, much more.
A fantastic family day out was had by everyone. One spectator told #DGWGO ,” it was great to see all these hard working Emergency service people being able to let their hair down and have some fun.” ( Although looking at their face’s while they were lifting the tyre in the the tyre flip , it didn’t look like much fun)
