Channel 4 came to Dumfries & Galloway this time last year to film Marthrown of Mabie for Four In A Bed. The weekly series will begin on 6th November at 6pm, with an episode focused on Marthrown on Tuesday 7th November at 6pm.
Set in the heart of Mabie Forest, Dumfries, Marthrown of Mabie consists of various accommodations including yurts, cottages, bell tents and an iron age roundhouse. Accommodations can be hired individually for private woodland holidays, or the entire site can be hired for a party or wedding. Pam and Mike, owners of the business, went to visit 3 other places during their time filming for Channel 4 and welcomed the other guests to Marthrown on day 2 of the week.
Pam and Mike said “It was a scary but fun experience, and certainly eye opening. Marthrown’s catchphrase has always been ‘simply something different’ and we hope you’ll watch to find out why!” Pam added “I will never watch Four In A Bed in the same way again.”
