Kicking off the 2018 visitor season at Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate is a family friendly Easter egg-stravaganza from 11am-3pm on Sunday 1 April.
Drumlanrig’s Easter Sunday fun day will be filled with activities to keep kids entertained and Jason the juggling jester will also be on hand to amuse visitors all afternoon.
Budding detectives can put their skills to the test with a colourful Easter egg hunt around the castle gardens and get arty at the crafts station on the day.
For children who need to work off their chocolate sugar rush there will be a 100ft assault course, giant circus slide, ball pool and Minecraft bouncy castle. Team Challenge will also be on site with laser clay pigeon shooting which is sure to encourage some healthy competition between visitors.
Aerial runways, climbing frames, tunnel slides and swings ensure children can spend countless hours exploring what’s on offer at the woodland adventure playground too. Even tiny tots can join in the fun as the playground also includes toddler swings, a rocking horse and tractor trailer.
Those who visit Drumlanrig on Easter Sunday will have full access to the Estate grounds too, meaning families can walk around the variety of routes at their leisure or take in the sights by two wheels on the Estate’s cycling trails.
Claire Oram, Castle Manager at Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate, said: “Our Easter Sunday fun day has something for everyone and is a great way for the family to enjoy a great day out in the countryside.
“It’s our first event for the 2018 visitor season and we can’t wait to welcome everyone along.”
To attend Drumlanrig’s Easter fun day, standard entry fee applies.
Entry to the Estate costs just £6.00 for adults, £3.50 for children aged 5-16 years, and under-5s go free. Alternatively, a season pass offering unlimited entry to the Estate during opening hours and exclusive discounts costs £20 for adults and £35 for families (two adults and three children).
