Dumfries and Galloway Science festival is back for 2018 even bigger and better than ever! Held Saturday 21st April – 12noon-5PM at Easterbrook Hall, The Crichton, Dumfries. D&G Science Festival – is a free annual science festival for anybody of any age who ever wondered how the world works and how we know about it.

WHATS ON?
Glasgow Science Centre present their outstanding show Disgusting Digestion – Be involved in Glasgow Science Centre’s most popular shows to find out all about digestion! How do our bodies process the food we eat and where does it all go? Take a trip through the digestive system (from top to… bottom!), while also discovering the importance of the circulatory and respiratory systems.
They will also be showcasing their Body Vision Exhibition – get hands-on with a range of engaging anatomy themed exhibits. They will address topics like cardiovascular fitness, body composition and the effects of lifestyle choices like smoking.
AND!! Science on the Spot with more interactives and hands on activities.
It doesn’t stop there oh no there’s more!!
– interact with real life robots from Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. Come and meet hi tech robots Miros, Naos and Spheros and have a go at interacting with them yourself!
– make rockets and launch them, learn physics behind gravity and space
– experience a real life jet engine and learn about flight dynamics
– learn about brain functions and music with the Science Ceilidh
– witness wacky science and amazing trick with a mad scientist
– learn about local wildlife with bat specialist Freda and jump on board the The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) wildlife bus!
– build bridges for life with real engineers
– MadLab- From electronics, micro-computing, and digital making to design-thinking and robotics, there is something to bring out the tinkerer in everyone!
