This years Wigtown Book festival was a first for DGWGO. This 10 day festival is one of Dumfries and Galloways flagship events , bringing thousands of visitors and millions of pounds to the region.
We had a fantastic time on our visits to Scotland’s Book town. and were totally surprised by the variety of ascertainment,ent on offer for all ages.
I had the pleasure of experiencing everything from being a Radio presenter for an hour, seeing a large wooden bed being built by Klf star Bill Drummond to eating a special meal designed to encourage memories of childhood, learning all about norweigan wood chopping, to hearing all about political comedy and how much work goes into it from Jon Holmes plus so much more.
But the highlight of the whole experience for me was being a judge on the panel of ‘Wigtown’s Got Talent’ that was presented by stand up comic Phil Jupitus. What a memorable experience that was.
I can’t wait to see what delights are on offer at Wigtown Book Festival 2016
