40 PLOUGHMEN BRAVED THE WEATHER AT WIGTOWNSHIRE OPEN

Wigtownshire Open Ploughing Match Report

Around 40 ploughmen from Southern Scotland, Northern Ireland and England took part in the annual match. The overnight weather conditions were perfect but conditions were ruined with a large period of rain at daybreak.

The match went ahead and brave ploughmen made the best of the conditions which improved as the day progressed. The organisers would like to thank Stair Estates for the use of the field and David and Joni Greer for presenting the prizes. They would also like to thank the judges, ploughmen and spectators who once again turned out to support the match.
