Today Saturday 9th April saw large crowds visit Lloyds Ltd Dumfries to help celebrate 100 years of Isuzu. ‘National Isuzu Day’ – the 100th day of 2016 – was chosen to celebrate the Japanese brand’s centenary in style.
The Staff at had put together a fantastic day of events today at the Heathhall branch of Lloyds Ltd, a family run company founded back in 1964 as a tractor dealership originally in Carlisle, but over the past five decades now has branches right across the North of England and South of Scotland including one in Dumfries. Lloyd Ltd offers a range of new and used equipment and machinery to support industry sectors covering agriculture, groundcare, construction and materials handling.

A Great day seemed to be being had by both young and old, as they looked around the fantastic array of Isuzu pick up trucks and other machinaery on display, Isuzu was first vehicle ever built in Japan back in 1916 , named after the great Japanese river Isuzu, now one hundred years later after a century of manufacturing excellence, a century of mould-breaking engineering innovation, a century of commercial success.
Stuart Dalton Manager at Lloyds Dumfries ( Main Photo with the ‘Fury’ Cake to celebrate 100 years of Isuzu) told DGWGO today “It’s great to see such a large turn out of people today, people from all walks of life both Business and Families have turned out to enjoy the fun and special offers that we have today. We are running a kiddies competition for the best picture, plus the Digger driving, we even have a pipe band and farmers market too.”
