PLEASE NOTE AS OF TUESDAY 21ST JUNE PRIME LAMBS SHALL COMMENCE AT 10.30 PROMPT.
Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited held their weekly sale of 648 prime lambs and cast sheep.
549 prime lambs sold to average 179.48. All classes were harder to sell following on from Mondays trade which fell all day.
Top price per head was £87 for Texels from Messrs Porteous, Barbershall, which were also top price per kilo at 212p.
As small show of hoggs sold to £68.50 for Texels from Barcloy.
Cast sheep were again cheaper selling to a top of £113 for Texel rams from Gelston Castle.
