Centre records were smashed as heifers and calves sailed over £4000 on no fewer than four occasions topping at £4400 for a belting black Lim heifer with her outstanding bbx bull calf at foot from regular consignor Messrs Hamilton Derrie Port William. A phenomenal trade was witnessed with the largest crowd of prospective purchasers seen for many a year here at Castle Douglas with many buyers leaving empty handed. Heifers and calves sold to average an astonishing £3035.85.
Topping the sale of bulls was a cracking Limousin from Messrs Craik Bankswood Glencaple selling to £6400. Stock Cows with calves sold to £3700 from Messrs Brown, Drumcoltran for a Limousin with her Lim Bull calf at foot back incalf to the Lim. Bulling heifers to £1640 from Messrs Marshall, Auchenleck for three smashing BB heifers.
