Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited had forward 1790 prime and cast sheep at their weekly sale. The 1332 prime hoggs averaged 194.7p with a
better show in general, best hoggsregularly 205-215p , to a top of 238.1p for Beltex from Carnavel which were also top per head
at £100. Next top per kilo of 223.8p for Texels from Drumcoltran. Blackface hoggs sold to 204.8p and £84.80 for pens from Barlure.
458 cast ewes would be dearer on the week selling to £91 for Texel ewes from Carnvel, with Blackfaces to £55.50 off Barlure and Mules to £67 off Fagra.
