1478 Prime hoggs sold to average 244.4ppk (SQQ 248.8). Best bred export hoggs were in short supply and sold to a top of £129 for a cracking pen of Beltex hoggs from Messrs Walker, Mindork, with Beltex lambs from the same home topping the pence per kilo at 307.1. Heavy weights sold to £125.50 for Texels from Messrs Armstrong, Littleton, Gatehouse of Fleet.
A tremendous show of 613 Blackface hoggs sold to average 245.7ppk, these topped at £112.50 for a pen of 45.9kg from Messrs Mitchell, Little Larg. With a pen of lightweights from the same home topping the ppk at 257.7.
326 Cast ewes were similar on the week with Messrs Dale-Sunley, Airds of Balcary, topping with a Texel ewe at £123. Scotch Mules sold to £95 from Dunlop, Cannee and Blackfaces to £77.50 from Barlure and Culdoach.
