Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 11th October sold 1839 Store lambs, 252 Store and OTM Cattle and 102 breeding cattle.
Bullocks topped at £1370 for Simmentals from Messrs Robb, Trolane and 269.3ppk again for Simmentals from Messrs Brown, Drumhumphry. Heifers topped at £1700 for British Blue again from Messrs Robb, Trolane and to 234.6ppk for Charolais’ from Messrs Henderson, Breconside.
OTM Cattle sold to £1497.30 and 217ppk for a Limousin from Messrs Williamson & Ross, Breckoniehill
Store lambs were again easily sold selling to £106.50 for Texels from West Glenstockadale
Breeding Cattle sold to £2250 twice for a Heifer with calf at foot and also one with a heifer calf at foot from Messrs Fisher, Flathill.
Also forward were the Autumn calving cows being dispersed from Messrs Parker, Mill of Plunton, topping at £2150 for a Limousin 2nd calver and her bull calf.
