Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 17th January sold Store lambs and Store and OTM Cattle
Bullocks topped at £1130 for Simmentals from Messrs Watson, Slatehouse and 232.3ppk for Angus bullocks from Messrs March & Lobban, Muncraig. Heifers sold to £1270 for Limousins from Airyolland Farm, Port William and 251ppk again for Limousins from the same home.
OTM Cattle sold to £1442.88 for a Simmental cow from Messrs Black, Hillside and to 219ppk for an overage Simmental heifer from Messrs McWhirter, Kenmure, Kirkcowan.
1001 Store lambs were still easily sold topping at £110 for Texels from Messrs Shaw, Killochy.

1541 Prime hoggs sold to average256.11ppk (259.23SQQ )
Hoggs topped today at £132 for Beltex from Messrs Sturgess, Cullinaw and top price per kilo was 300ppk for Beltex hoggs from same home.
358 cast ewes topped today at £155 for Texels from Wilson Farming, West Barmoffity and Rams to £163 for Bluefaced Leicesters from Messrs McTurk, Mackilston.
