A small show of Store cattle sold to £1230 for and Angus Bullock from RKG Farms, Irelandton.
OTM Cattle sold to £1434.80 for a Galloway Steer from Messrs Armstrong, Langbarns and to £1237.50 for a Simmental Cow from Messrs Dunlop, Cannee.

WEEKLY PRIMESTOCK SALE
Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Tuesday 22nd June 2021 had forward 612 prime and cast sheep.
514 Prime lambs sold to average 256 (SQQ 257.14).
A nice show for quality were a two-tier trade. Best bred lambs were anywhere from 260 to a top of 310.5ppk for lovely Texels from Messrs Wilson, West Barmoffity, whilst commercial lambs traded from 235 – 245ppk. Top per head was £127 twice for thumping Beltex lambs firstly from Messrs Smith, Low Arkland and then from Messrs Campbell, Carsewalloch.
Ewes and hoggs were forward in smaller numbers with hoggs selling to £107 for Cheviot hoggs from East Kirkcarsewell with ewes to £123 for Texels from Glenhowan and Rams to £139 from Lagganorie.
