SALE OF STORE AND OTM CATTLE
Wallets Marts Castle Douglas sold 120 OTM and Store cattle.
OTM cattle continued to be a flying trade selling to average a massive 201.04 ppk for 77 sold. Top today at 247ppk and £1976.32 was an Angus cow from Messrs Robb, Trolane.
Store cattle sold to a top pf 225.4ppk for Luing heifers from Clachanton Estate and to £1090 again for heifers this time for Angus’ from Messrs Porteous, Barbershall.

Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Ltd on Tuesday 5th July 2022 had forward 1402 prime and cast sheep. 1137 Prime Lambs sold to average 329.05 SQQ and £136.78 per head. Which is a colossal £31.45 up on the year
Lambs met a much better trade on the week and sold to a top of £167.50 for heavy Texels from Douganhill Farms. Top pence per kilo was 378.5 for Beltex from Messrs Nicolson, Bombie
Cast sheep topped at £244 for Texel ewes from Messrs Lockhart, Lagganpark.
