SALE OF STORE CATTLE
OTM CATTLE AND STORE LAMBS
Wallets Marts had forward 170 Store cattle, 56 OTM cattle and 2124 Store lambs.
170 Store were a strong trade and cattle topped at £1420 for Limousin bullocks from Cardoness Farms and 281.3ppk from the same home.
56 OTM cattle sold to a far better trade than expected and topped at £1839.92 for an Angus cow from Messrs Lindsay, Culnaightrie and 213ppk for an Angus Cow from Messrs Hair & Brewis Drumbreddan.
2124 Store lambs topped at £110 for a pen of Beltex from Messrs Sturgess, Cullinaw with all classes easily sold. Our next sale is on Saturday 26th August at 10.00am.

Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Tuesday 15 August 2023 had forward 2132 prime and cast sheep.
Lambs sold to average 259.89ppk (SQQ 258.88). Top today was £140.50 a Texel lamb from Backfell Farm and £140.50 for Suffolks from J & E Hendry, Rascarrel. Top per kilo was 291.5 for Beltex from Messrs Jardine, Upper Hardland for a Charollais.
Cast sheep sold to £225 for Texel ewes from Messrs Wilson, Strathgally.
Rams sold to £207 for Texels from Ardwall Farm.
