Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Limited on Monday 13th March sold 42 OTM Cattle, 543 Store Cattle and 550 Store Hoggs.
Cows were way short of buyers requirements. Store cattle met another firing trade.
Store Cattle topped the sale at £1930 for a Charolais bullock from McConchie Partnership, Mossyard and 337.5ppk for Charolais bullock from Messrs Davidson, Poldean.
Cast cows sold to £1893.76 for a Limousin cow from Messrs Fitzsimon, Tregallon and 274ppk for a Charolais from Messrs Black, Erncrogo.
Store hoggs sold to £96 for Texels from Wilson Farming, West Barmoffity
