Local Farmer Thomas Peters From Whitehall Farm, Kirkmahoe, Dumfries was overjoyed this morning when his 7 year old Aberdeen Angus cow gave birth to a set of triplets, all the calves are girls and the odds of that happening are 400,000 to 1.
Thomas said “Something a bit different this morning, a set of triplets. All alive and all heifers. The mum is 7 years old and she has now had 11 calves as she’s had 2 sets of twins before as well.
Thomas has been keeping people up to date on the triplets progress via his Facebook page Longbank Aberdeen Angus in the latest update he said “A wee update on the triplets, all looking nice and bright with full bellies, they’re very small so they’ve heat lamp in the corner for a bit of warmth and a creep gate they can get through to their mum.”
