Under 15’s – West T4 Black Conference League
Stewartry U15’s – 113
Bishopton/Clydebank (Bish/Bank) U15’s – 7
Stewartry totally dominated this encounter, with the team really starting to click and the team showing much better ball control and teamwork. Bish/Bank were steamrollered from start to finish, with Stewartry scoring the final try with the last play of the game such was their pressure.
Best for Stewartry were once again David Martin, for his relentless pressure and never say die attitude, challenging for every ball, Pacey Ho for is superb handling and scoring the try of the day following a brilliant take and jink through the whole Bish/Bank defence to score under the posts. Archie Holman had a fine game at number 8, gaining great ground with good strong, straight running, and most importantly offloading at the right time to his team mates. Archie Picken worked hard and was rewarded with 3 great tries and Oskar Wnuk and Joseph Strain combined very well for Oskar to score in the corner after hitting the ball at full speed (as trained for) and splitting open the Bish/Bank defence. Matthew Coupland scored a great try after goods passing and a brilliant solo effort.
Forward play was also much improved with great scrummaging and line out play, and rucking starting to see improvement. All in all a very satisfying win before the October break to keep Stewartry up the top of the table.
A break from games for the next two weekends due to the school holidays. Next game is away to Marr (Troon) (Sunday 25th October).
