Kirkcaldy, Scotland – Saturday marked a momentous occasion for Duymfries and Galloway athlete Andy McCulloch, who claimed victory at the Masters Strongman Championship held at Apex Gym.
This remarkable win adds to an already impressive year for Mr McCulloch, characterized by numerous competitions and outstanding performances that solidify his status as one of the top strongmen in the country.
Andy’s journey in strength sports has been nothing short of extraordinary over the past 13 years and 2024 has proven to be his busiest yet, but also the most successful year of competition to date. His achievements this year include:
– **1st Place** at the Masters Strongman Championship
-3rd Place in the U105kg Scotlands Strongest man category
3rd Place in the U120kg Scotlands Strongest Man category
4th Place in the Opens Qualifier Scotlands strongest man
-**6th Place** in the Opens Final Scotlands Strongest man
– Winner of the Truck Pull at the Opens Final
– **10th Place** in the Strongest Man U120 in Great Britain
– A remarkable performance in Iceland at the Fullsterkur Husafel Stone Carry, completing over one lap of the sheep pen.
