In this weeks DGWGO rugby round-up brought to you in partnership with Dumfries and Galloway Rugby podcast, get all the latest news from Newton Stewart RFC, Dumfries Saints, Stewartry RFC, Annan RFC and Moffat RFC.

Newton Stewart bounced back after a disappointing result last time out with a good win against a strong Berwick side. The home side scored a late penalty to steal the game 28-25 at Bladnoch.

Dumfries Saints drew for the second week in a row at Park Farm, tying 27-27 with Howe of Fife.

Although just missing out on a win, The Saints were well beaten in the return fixture earlier in the season 67-12 away from home.

Sandy Currie’s Stewartry fell short at top of the table Garnock, who extended their unbeaten season so far with a 43-14 win.

After two weekends without rugby due to the weather, Annan travelled to Cumnock in West 1 but were beaten 54-32, while Wigtownshire could not find a way to stop the unbeaten Ardrossan as they lost 42-21 at home.

Moffat were back in action for the first time in five weeks and came back with a bang, winning at Holm Park 32-7 against Mid Argyll.

All teams have a break over the festive period and return the second weekend of January.
