Aitken Turnbull has more than a passing interest in the success of Team Leigh through its Office Coordinator, Kat Bass. Her granddaughter is team Skip, Jodi-Leigh.
When Jodi-Leigh told Kat that Team Leigh was seeking team sponsorship, Kat recommended to her work colleagues that Aitken Turnbull would be an excellent fit to support them. Aitken Turnbull is delighted to continue its support of the team helping to develop young talent and removing some of the financial barriers.
Jodi-Leigh, comments.
“We are a junior team and sponsorship means a great deal to us. Without it we would struggle to take part in the events and Aitken Turnbull’s support helps us with this.
“This helps towards not just our entry fees and kit but also contributes towards travel, accommodation and ice hire for our team training which improves our development. It also helps reduce the worry about funding allowing us to concentrate on the sport we are so passionate about.
We have a lot of events this season and are particularly looking forward to upcoming trips to Copenhagen and Stockholm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn from strong competitors on the international circuit.”
Kat Bass, Office Coordinator at Aitken Turnbull said,
“We wish Team Leigh all the very best. The commitment and dedication the four girls put into their sport greatly impressed us and we were delighted to help with sponsorship. They are a fantastic bunch who simply want to be the best they can be and show visible progression as a team.”
