Queen of the South Football Club are issuing a call to young fans to come along to watch the team play against Falkirk at Palmerston for free.
Free admission is being offered to young supporters aged 15 or under for the Championship match against fellow promotion hopefuls Falkirk on the 4th of March.
Speaking on behalf of the Board director Mark Blount said “The club already offer the Junior Blues season ticket for just £18 a season but now that we’re getting to the business end of the season we want to give the manager and the players as much support as we can for the final push towards the end of season play-offs. We know at this time of year money can be tight for families and leisure activities such as the football have to take a back-seat. So we’d like to take this opportunity to give youngsters the chance to take a break from their computer games and come along to watch live football for free. Hopefully they can help generate an atmosphere and spur the players onto victory in such an important match”.
Manager Gary Naysmith added “this is a great offer from the club. It really does help the players when they’re playing in front of a bigger crowd. We’ve really kicked on in the last few weeks and have pushed ourselves back into the promotion chasing pack. One of the teams that we will be competing against for one of those four places will be Falkirk so it would be great to have a large home backing for the boys. And as it’s free of charge for youngsters it’s a win win situation for club and supporters, so please come along and encourage the players in what will hopefully be a win on the park as well as off it”.
The offer is extended to both sets of supporters and entrance will be by ticket which will be available from the usual ticket booths on proof of age.
