Queen of the South Ladies started the second half of the league campaign with a convincing away win over Dundee West Ladies on Sunday.
On a pitch that probably shouldn’t have passed the 9am referee’s inspection, Queens were understandably cautious in the initial stages and it wasn’t until the 34th minute that they took the lead through Jo Gallagher.
Queens’ lead was doubled jst before half time when holly ovens scored.
The second half saw Queens raise their game and Lois Geddes made the game safe with an early goal on 47 minutes. Queens were playing well by this stage but it wasn’t until the 85th minute that they scored again through Eve Crombie, and Lois Geddes notched her second of the game just 2 minutes later to make the final score 5-0 to Queens.
Queen remain in fifth place in League One and look good for a place in the final promotion plasyoffs.
