The 2015 Guid Nychburris Swimming Gala took place at DG One @ Dumfries Ice Bowl on Thursday 4 June. Once again the event was superbly attended. A total of 22 schools from across the region took part in the relay events for both Primary and Secondary Schools
The 2014 Queen of the South Jemma Weir, Queen of the South Elect 2015 Beth Allen, Cornet Elect 2015 Ross Hyslop and Cornets Lass Elect 2015 Amy Muirhead all attended to present medals and trophies to the winning teams which took place at the Dumfries Ice Bowl.
Provost of Dumfries and Chair of Nithsdale Area Committee Councillor Ted Thompson said;
I would like to congratulate all of the swimmers who took part in the event. Furthermore a huge thank you should go to all of the volunteers for their help and support in making sure that this year’s Guid Nychburris Gala was a great success.”

Noblehill – Winners of the Girls Primary Schools trophy
Hecklegirth – Winners of the Boys Primary school trophy
St Columba’s – Winners of the Mixed Primary School trophy
Stranraer Academy – Winners of the S3-6 trophy
Stranraer Academy – Winners of the S1-2 trophy
