Rotary Junior Golfer of the Year Competition District 1020
Following the success of the previous Rotary District 1020 Junior Golfer of the Year Tournaments, the 2015 competition took place on Thursday 6th August hosted by Lockerbie Golf Club. This year Kirkcudbright Rotary Club was represented by Nathan Watson and John Rodger. Both boys played extremely well and, as a consequence, they finished runners-up in the Team Scratch competition and Nathan also finished runner-up in the Golfer of the Year competition losing out by just one stroke to the eventual winner! Kirkcudbright Rotary Club would like to thank Pam Watson, Juniors Coordinator at Kirkcudbright Golf Club, for all her hard work in coaching the two boys and in supporting them at the tournament. Nathan and John are pictured here holding their trophies together with Kirkcudbright Rotary Club Youth Service Convenor Paul Tebay who presented the boys with these trophies at the Kirkcudbright Golf Club Juniors Presentation day.
