South of Scotland MSP Joan McAlpine donned navy and gold in support of the home side as she joined spectators for the Moffat 10s this weekend.
The MSP, who sponsored the event at Holm Park, said that it was a great way to celebrate the values that rugby promotes in the community – respect, commitment, friendship and fun.
Commenting the Local MSP said:
“The tournament was a really good family day out and a fantastic way to spend the day.
“So much work goes on behind the scenes to make the event such a success and I just want to thank everyone for their hard work and for making me feel so welcome.
“The club are very welcoming a year round – I would urge any youngsters from the age of 5-18 interested in playing rugby to go along and give it a shot”
She added:
“The Rams were impressive, but I couldn’t resist getting a picture with the Annan boys in my favourite coloured strip!”
