Queen of the South are delighted to confirm that defender Andy Dowie has signed a new contract, keeping him at Palmerston for at least a further year.
‘Dowser’, who was Jim McIntyre’s first signing at Palmerston, was the choice of most Supporter’s groups Player of the Year this season. His re-signing is a boost to the squad as the team prepare for the forthcoming Premiership play-offs, which start on Saturday against Rangers.
Manager, James Fowler says “Andy has been outstanding this season and to have secured him for another year is fantastic news. We see him as a key part of the squad and having already re-signed Chris Higgins, Derek Lyle and Iain Russell for another campaign is really positive. We also already have Ian McShane under contract, so things are starting to take shape for next season”.
