Sharks Back On Home Ice This Weekend

The Hercules Ice Hockey apparel sponsored Solway Sharks wrapped up a three week
hiatus from the Dumfries Ice Bowl on Saturday night in Slough against the Bees with a 6-4
loss. The three week road swing saw a dip in results as they were only able to pick up a total of 3 points against the likes of the Bristol Pitbulls and 1 point coming in a shootout loss to the Telford Tigers.

General Manager and forward, Craig Peacock had this to say regarding the last 5 road
games, “It’s been a challenging few weeks on the road. We obviously would have liked to see a few more results go our way but we’ll take the points we were able to pick up and move forward. We’re excited to get back to playing at home in front of our amazing fans in the Shark Tank.”

With only fourteen games remaining in the regular season there is no time to dwell on the
past performances as the Sharks look forward to a very important portion of the schedule.
The Sharks will look to turn things around at home in front of their faithful fans this weekend as they take on the Milton Keynes Lightning in a double header. The last time the Sharks played at home was in front of a record attendance of 844 passionate fans.

Saturday Feb. 17th puck drop is at 7:00 pm and Sunday Feb.18th is at 3:00 pm. The Sharks will look to lean on the support of their fan base at the Shark Tank so make sure to get your tickets now either via the clubs website, http://sharksihc.com/tickets/, or in person at the Ice Bowl.

It should also be noted that the Saturday game will see the Sharks in a special Valentine’s Day edition jersey which will be auctioned off after the game.
