Helensburgh struggled throughout the week to put a team together but travelled down to Greenlaw, Castle Douglas with a weakened squad to fulfill the fixture.

The fine morning turned to heavy rain as the game kicked off in front of a small crowd of hardy supporters.
Stewartry were of to the best start with a try in only five minutes Thomson setting John Dawson in for the first try in the corner. Craig Mosey added the conversion. 7-0
Sixteen minutes and it was try number two for Stewartry Steven Hogg crashing over at the posts the first of five tries in the match for the Blacks number eight. Mosey converted. 14-0.
Five minutes later fullback John Fingland joined the back line for try number three conversion missed.19-0
Twenty eight minutes and the bonus point for the Blacks as Hogg scored his second and the Blacks fourth. Mosey was back on target with the conversion. 26-0
Helensburgh held out for a further ten minutes before centre David Kerr scored the first of a six minute hat trick of tries both sides of half time thirty eighth minute, fortieth minute and fortysixth minute Mosey converting the first two tries. 45-0
Four minutes later Craig Mosey was in for his own try and then missed adding the points. 50-0
Helensburgh may have been fifty points behind but they continued to try and play an open game.
But unfortunetly Steven Hogg had no intention of being behind with his try count on the day and the Stewartry’s leading try scorer added a thirteen minute hattrick of tries of his own fifty minutes, fiftyfive and sixty three minutes taking his total to fifteen tries this season, Mosey converting the third one.67-0.
Sixty eight minutes and Fraser Baird scored his first try of the season in his first game Mosey converting his seventh conversion. 74-0.
Unlucky thirteen was a second try for winger John Dawson in seventy two minutes Mosey converting from out wide. 81-0.
Hooker Daav Thomson was rewarded with the fourteenth try right on full time and Craig Mosey took his seasons points total 137 when he added the ninth conversion. Full time 86-0.
A good all round performance from the Stewartry against the bottom of the league team Helensburgh who fought hard and played their part in a entertaining open game in very wet conditions.
Stewartry now up to sixth in BT West One are away to second placed Allan Glens this week kickoff 3.00pm. Last home game of the season at Greenlaw will be on 5th May against Irvine with a 3.00pm.
