A class win at the Area 19 Novice Showjumping Qualifier at Ingilston Equestrian Centre in Renfrewshire ensured Stewartry PC, a team of 4 girls and their 14.2hh ponies, a place at the Pony Club Championships to be held at Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire.
The Showjumping Team members of Amelia Craig on Anique Rico, Eden McCulloch on Tic-Tac, Isla Davies on Dominica and Nina Clark on Lairdshill Duke will travel down to Cheshire on Thursday accompanied by Mhairi Rodger and her horse Strachbell Sargent Bilko who have qualified to compete in the Novice Dressage final.
Mhairi & Bilko qualified at Muirmill by winning their section with a very good score of 75.2%. Also qualifying for the Championships in the Intermediate Individual Showjumping was Emily Forsyth and Meikle Jetsetter. They qualified at Ingilston, being placed 3rd after jumping an immaculate 3 clear rounds.
This event is set to host some of the most talented Pony Club Members in the UK competing against each other for the 2016 national titles in disciplines including Eventing, Show Jumping, Polocrosse and Mounted Games.
Chief Instructor, Sarah Clark has worked very hard with with all the girls and is delighted at the result they have all produced.
Stewartry Branch of the Pony Club is a relatively small club but they do have some very talented members, We would like to wish them all the very best of Luck at the Championships.
