The combined Dumfries, Galloway side completed their Scottish Women’s Premier League fixtures with a comprehensive defeat of Watsonians in Edinburgh on Sunday.
Watsonians were asked to field first and the innings, and the game, was dominated by a second wicket partnership between century makers Roshini Prince-Navaratnam and Hannah Rainey. Together they set up the team’s highest score of the season with a 193 run partnership. Hannah was first to her century and was out bowled attempting a further six for a score of 109 of 72 balls and with sixteen boundaries. Opener Roshini soon followed her century to bat through to reach 105 not out. Orla Montgomery straight drove her way to a rapid fifteen to help get the side to a big total of 244 for 3 after the thirty overs.
