Following feedback from the community, maintenance on the A75 between Kirkdale House and Carsluith Junction will switch to overnight only works from Tuesday 10th August 2021.
Work will take place between the hours of 7pm and 6am, each night until the scheme’s completion. Temporary traffic lights will be in place throughout daytime hours to allow the resurfacing material to cool.
We thank road users for their patience while these essential works are carried out.
Original Release
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential safety improvements on the A75 between Kirkdale House and Carsluith Junction from Tuesday 3rd August until Sunday 29th August 2021. Work will take place every day between the hours of 6am and 7pm.
These works will improve the overall road quality of this section of the A75, in addition to extending the life of the existing road pavement, reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in future.
Work will be carried out using a convoy system between the hours of 6am and 7pm each day. A temporary traffic light system will be in place between the hours of 7pm and 6am each night.
We thank road users for their patience while these essential improvements are underway.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
