Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential maintenance on the A76 at New Bridge and between Druids Park and Croftmaggot Road from Saturday 19th June 2021.
The work will be completed in three phases. Phase One will take place at New Bridge from Saturday 19th June until Saturday 3rd July 2021 and requires both daytime and night-time traffic management. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation from 6am until 8pm each day, which will switch to an overnight convoy between 8pm and 6am each night.
Phase Two takes place between Druids Park and Croftmaggot Road from Sunday 4th July until Tuesday 27th July 2021 and traffic management will remain the same as detailed above for Phase One.
Phase Three will be carried out from Tuesday 27th July until Sunday 1st August 2021 under temporary traffic lights between the hours of 6am and 8pm, each day, throughout the entire works area.
Access to both Newbridge village and the B729 will be maintained throughout however there may be limited times where movements are restricted to allow safe construction of the junctions.
Due to the use of both convoys and temporary traffic lights through this area, extra journey time should be allowed as there may be some delay.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
